Account Information: When you register, we collect your first name, last name, email address, phone number, and a password you create. Your password is never stored in plain text. It is always encrypted using industry-standard hashing algorithms before being saved.

Profile Information: To help you find work faster, we collect your professional title, bio, skills, years of experience, location, and resume. This information is shown to employers when you apply for jobs.

Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We do not receive your Google password.

Phone Verification: If you sign in with your phone number, a one-time password is sent to verify your identity. We store your phone number linked to your account.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use WorkzApp — pages you visit, jobs you view, searches you perform, and features you use. This helps us improve the platform and personalise your experience.

Device and Technical Data: We may collect your IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system for security and performance purposes.

We only collect data we actually need. Here is exactly why we use each type:

• To create and manage your account and keep it secure. • To match you with relevant job opportunities based on your skills and preferences. • To allow employers to review your profile and resume when you apply. • To send you job alerts, application updates, and important platform notifications. • To verify your identity through email or phone OTP. • To analyse platform usage and improve our product for everyone. • To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever. That is a promise, not just a policy.

Employers: When you apply for a job, the employer can see your name, profile, resume, and contact details you have chosen to share. You are in control of what you put in your profile.

Service Providers: We work with trusted technology partners who help us run WorkzApp. These include providers for secure data storage, email delivery, phone verification, and cloud infrastructure. Each partner processes your data only to provide their specific service and is bound by strict data processing agreements.

Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information if required by Indian law, a court order, or a government authority. We will always try to notify you if legally permitted to do so.

Business Transfers: If WorkzApp is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before that happens and you will have the option to delete your account.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

We keep your account data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records. Resume files are stored securely and deleted immediately upon account deletion.

You have full control over your data on WorkzApp:

• You can view and edit your profile at any time from your Profile page. • You can change your email, phone number, and password from Account Settings. • You can delete your account by emailing us at business.workzapp@gmail.com. We will process your request within 7 business days. • You can opt out of email notifications from your profile settings. • You can request a copy of all data we hold about you by emailing us.

We take security seriously because your career data is sensitive and personal.

• All passwords are encrypted using industry-standard algorithms. We never store plain text passwords. • All data is transmitted using secure encrypted connections. • Authentication uses secure session management with industry best practices. • Phone verification uses a secure OTP system from a trusted provider. • Only authorised team members have access to production data, and only when necessary. • We conduct regular reviews of our security practices and access controls.

Despite our best efforts, no system is 100% secure. If we ever become aware of a data breach that affects you, we will notify you by email within 72 hours.

WorkzApp uses minimal cookies:

• Session cookies to keep you logged in securely. • Preference cookies to remember your settings like light or dark mode.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that sell your data.

WorkzApp is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered on our platform, please contact us immediately at business.workzapp@gmail.com and we will delete the account promptly.

WorkzApp may contain links to external websites or job listings from third-party companies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing any personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our product evolves. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email and update the Last Updated date at the top of this page.
